The original inspiration for this guide comes from the excellent- if lengthy- FUTO Self Managed Life Guide (https://wiki.futo.org/wiki/Introduction_to_a_Self_Managed_Life:_a_13_hour_%26_28_minute_presentation_by_FUTO_software) by Louis Rossman. His guide is thorough and detailed, but ultimately we wanted a solution that used some different choices of software as well as a bit less... detailed. More like the basic framework for the system, and then let the user go from there.
